Sat 3rd June: Hoping for a busier day on Sunday

New boy Baxter is settling down now
It was worryingly quiet today despite the threatened rain not appearing, so I can only hope it's busier on Sunday.  The freshly painted Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre is filling up again as Renovation Fosters are returning their little guests, so at the very least we need new foster homes if not adopters.
Bailey is a really sweet boy

I'm really hoping we'll make it through the Sunday puppy afternoon without thunderstorms and downpours, not only for the puppies' sake but also because Instagram vlogger Allan Dixon will be there to have some fun.  Happily there will be at least one adoption to record as on-trial Jacob has had his permanent residency confirmed and he will be there to have the paperwork completed.

We could do with more volunteers for Sunday puppy afternoons as not everyone can commit to being there every weekend.  If you think you would like to help with adoptions at Whiskers N Paws, please email me at sally@hongkongdogrescue.com.  I'm looking for volunteers who have experience with dogs and can talk with confidence to potential adopters, and preferably bi-lingual (English and Cantonese).  Training will be given on site, and you won't be expected to take on full responsibility until you are ready, but obviously we need mature adults who can cope with sometimes difficult decisions.  Although there may be times when volunteers can't be there on Sundays, there does have to be a commitment to coming most weekends.
Meet the puppies every Sunday
