Weds 15th Feb: Puppy fosters still needed

I'm always so pleased to see happy updates of our adopted dogs, especially those that are quite new in their homes and still settling.  We received some lovely photos of terrier Binky, and she was obviously feeling as though she'd finally found her perfect family after quite a long wait.  Zach from Tai Po is having the time of his life in his new home, and enjoying fun and games in the garden with ex-HKDR Alison.  All of these happy-ending stories make it easier to battle though the tough days, those times when nothing seems to be working out except these adoptions. (Don't worry, those days quickly pass).

Taurus is the one being held

Today it was time for Taurus to leave his best friend at Elgin Street, and it's a better-sweet moment when this happens.  Taurus has a new brother, also an ex-HKDR dog, while left-behind Tammy will have to form a new friendship, or find her own family too.  I'm sure she won't have to wait too long, because she's a beautiful little dog, young and sweet.
Sweet and beautiful Tammy

Nacho loves his walks and squeaky toys

I mentioned poodle Nacho yesterday, and finally got an up-to-date photo of him.  As I mentioned, he's not a youngster but sill very active and playful, and he's more than ready to go to a new home.

Another HKDR@Elgin dog who had her adoption confirmed is Honor, one of the "H" intake from a while ago.  She was actually the first to leave, but it was on a trial basis, now forever.  She took some time to settle as she's quite a timid girl, but at least she finally made it as a fully fledged family member.

We still need foster homes for the puppies that are staying at the Elgin Street space, and in pairs if possible.

Please email Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com if you can take in a couple of beautiful puppies, all of whom will be medium sized as adults.  We prefer that the foster homes are within easy reach of the vet clinics that we use on Hong Kong Island, and of course priority will be given to those who will potentially adopt.
