Sat 11th Feb: The challenges of staff shortage

As always I'll start with the adoption news because I know everyone likes to read about dogs that have found their forever families.

Goodbye Stella!

The first lucky girl to leave HKDR was little Stella, a fantastic character packed into a small body.  I wish her a wonderful and long life.
Hannah was the lucky "H" puppy

Hannah was the next one chosen, another "H" puppy from a large intake that may or may not have been one litter.  Anyway they were all lovely puppies, very sweet as well as being good looking too.

I'm also happy to report that one dog from Tai Po will be leaving on Sunday after I just received the email confirming which of two possibles was the lucky one.  I'm going to keep that news until tomorrow when I can share the adoption photo.

It was very busy at our HKDR@Elgin location but with no confirmed adoptions to report, mainly due to the fact that we have no experienced staff to share with the centre at weekends.  We're currently short-staffed anyway, but also have two of our regular team off sick, so the situation is really difficult.  Please bear with us if you are looking for a dog or puppy to adopt from 22 Elgin Street.

Annie is just a ball of fluff

I want to share some photos taken at the Elgin Street space today, one of puppy Annie, a complete heart-melter ball of fluff, and little-big pup Abby asleep after a busy play session.  Also sleeping after an enthusiastic wrestling match were young adults Tammy and Taurus, who seem to really like each other.
