Sat 4th Feb: More dramas, plus adoptions

As usual there were dramas interspersed with the adoptions, so I'll start by saying that the website crashed yet again meaning no application forms could be completed.  Thanks to the team behind the scenes we managed to get a direct connection to both the adoption and fostering questionnaires set up, so at least that's one concern dealt with.  Please use the links below for the time being:

The other drama happened at Tai Po, again late in the afternoon when most emergencies take place, and this time it was that one of the dogs broke a leg.  How it happened is a mystery, and while I'm sure the break can be fixed and the leg will heal, Mochi had just been offered not one, but two potential homes.  Now we will have to see if she can move immediately so she can have some space without being knocked by other dogs.

Amanda

Also at Tai Po, and with all four legs in good working order, Amanda was today's lucky dog as she left to start her new life.
Maisie

I'd already mentioned that Maisie and Scooter would be picked up from our HKDR@Elgin location, and I can now share the happy adoption photos for both of them.

Scooter

Haven

Over at Kennedy Town it was the "H" Litter that seemed to have their lucky stars aligned, with Haven being picked from the crowd, and sibling Hayes having his adoption confirmed after being taken home from Whiskers N Paws last Sunday.  This is a particularly lovely litter, and if you hurry you could be in time to adopt the remaining few available, Harrison, Hannah and Hailey.
Hailey is a petite girl

Poisoning seems to be an ongoing problem in all areas, and I received this message today:

"I would like to let you know that there have been pet poisonings in the area between the villages of Tai Po Tin and Sheung Shan Kai Wat in Takuling, Northern New Territories. Some dogs and at least one cat have died."

Always be aware of suspicious-looking scraps of food, and if your dog is the type that will eat anything then a basket muzzle (one which allows open-mouth panting) is a good idea.

  1. We're so happy to have Haven as a member of our family! HKDR did a great job looking after her and the adoption process was so smooth. Thanks guys ☺️
