Sat 15th Oct: Looking ahead to Sunday

Volunteer Harryn took this photo of Zippo
We decided in the end that the home offered to Zippo wasn't going to work for him so he'll stay at Ap Lei Chau until a more suitable situation comes along.  I have ordered a set of wheels for him, which have generously been sponsored, and hopefully once they arrive he can head off to the dog park with the other dogs and have some fun.  I really hope so anyway.
Arrow needed the right home

It was a quiet day for adoptions although after a long wait husky Arrow will be leaving on Monday.  The fact that he has waited for so long wasn't due to any lack of offers, but because as a young and very active dog who had already developed some bad habits when he came to us, we needed to be sure that the home he went to could handle the jumping up and play biting.  All puppies do this but some dogs just never seem to grow out of it, especially if they have had no proper training as a youngster.

Now I have Sunday to prepare for, and this week I have lots of new puppies joining the Whiskers N Paws party.  The weather is perfect for an afternoon on the terrace at Horizon Plaza, and hopefully there'll be adopters who think so too.
You can also buy your Peak to Fong T-shirts at the store so there's a double reason for visiting.
