Fri 21st Oct: Another close shave

Once again the wind direction was favourable for me and the dogs, and I was able to enjoy a relatively easy and stress-free typhoon, even if the dogs had to stay inside (apart from an extra-long morning walk) and ended up thoroughly bored.  Due to the strong wind the roof was off-limits too as the last thing I wanted was a repeat of dogs being blown off, so it was a huge relief to be able to open all doors and windows later on.  It's one thing having one or two dogs stuck indoors, but when you get to multiples and arguments break out it's as frustrating for me as it is for them.

Getting ready for Sunday
Now we can look forward to the weekend without weather interruptions, and that includes Whiskers N Paws where all of the foster puppies will be reunited for the afternoon.  Everyone seems to have been behaving themselves and enjoying the attention and home comforts, so I really hope they can move straight into homes on Sunday.
"We are currently fostering 2 of the puppies and they are absolutely adorable! Both have a lovely temperament, very affectionate, and surprisingly well behaved! Please come down this Sunday to puppy adoption day to meet them and (hopefully) give them a forever home!!"

I want to thanks all of the staff and volunteers who made their way to Tai Po and Ap Lei Chau regardless of the typhoon, as well as those who fostered dogs for the duration of the bad weather, as short-lived as it turned out to be.

I forgot to mention the very happy result of a previous bad-weather foster which resulted in a permanent home for Goa.  There was a bit of a midway hiccup when she got lost on the  Dragon's Back trail and ended up with tick fever, but she's now fully recovered and doing very well in her new life.  Well done Goa!
Goa has good reason to smile now!
