Thurs 11th March: Seniors Day

Jingle in 2016

So many things happen during a year, a month, or even just a day, so we were all trying to remember who Jingle the pom was after we were told she was being returned.  Looking at my blog entry for the time she was with us, way back in 2016, it was a sad reminder not only of her story but of the fact that the then-new Animal Trader Licensing Laws achieved pretty much nothing in changing anything for the poor breeder dogs that are held captive and forced to produce litter after litter for the greedy breeders, or "greeders".  This is Jingles story from back then: (https://sallyhkdr.blogspot.com/2016/12/fri-2nd-dec-how-can-anyone-support.html).

Jingle had her surgeries and heartworm treatment, and she can apparently run around quite happily on three legs.  It's been five years since we've seen her and she's a senior now, but can anyone offer her a rest-of-life home?

Look at O'Brian's smile

Talking of seniors, there was some very happy news about O'Brian, another ex-Lamma puppy who grew up and moved to Tai Po some years ago.  He has now joined "Little" Eva's family, and he looks very pleased with himself.  You can read more about O'Brian and fellow (now adopted) senior Felix here: https://www.facebook.com/HappyWoofHK

Friday is the day for picking up the latest batch of puppies from AFCD Sheung Shui, plus one young adult who looks very sweet.  I was so tied up today with getting a new fridge/freezer delivered to my house (you have no idea how difficult it is even to get any company to agree to sell me a large appliance, and that includes Fortress and Yoho) that I haven't yet thought up names. We've had so many puppies needing to be named over the past year that I've run dry of ideas and have resorted to going through old photos, Googling baby names and even using the names from Spam emails before deleting them.

The weekend is going to be a busy one, especially at Ap Lei Chau, so please make sure you complete the adoption questionnaire in advance of any visit: www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/
