Sat 6th March: Skippy comes back while Norton leaves

I'm late again with today's post as I'm trying to catch up with the many enquiries and questionnaires which come in every day.  I'm happy of course that so many people are asking about adoption, but in many cases we don't currently have the small-sized dogs and puppies that most are looking for, or I need to ask for clarification about certain answers and details.  It's really helpful if the questionnaires are completed with as much information as possible, including a full address as a start.

Senior chihuahua-cross Skippy was returned from his foster home to Ap Lei Chau today following heartworm treatment.  He's fully fit an ready for a new home now if anyone can offer this sweet boy a forever family.

Weekends are always busy days for visitors to the Homing Centres as well, and today was no exception.  For many who are coming to meet the dogs and puppies for the first time it's a usually a matter of wanting to have a look and to ask questions about the adoption process, which was mostly the case today.  Some of the younger puppies are still waiting for their initial vet check-up and vaccination so they're not quite ready to leave yet, and that was the case for little Abigail who was adopted on paper but will only go home after she's been confirmed as healthy and had her first shot.  You can see Abigail playing with her puppy friends in this sweet video https://www.facebook.com/HKDR.DOGGIES/videos/257517849291445

Norton when he first arrived at Tai Po

Norton was the lucky boy at Tai Po, and he left the Homing Centre today to start his new life as a family member.
