Weds 5th Aug: Please don't ask about the fluffy white puppy!

(Apologies, the photos aren't uploading so please check back later).

We took in eight new dogs today (you can see the full story on Catherine's Puppies Facebook page) including one adorable scruffy pup, and I have already been overwhelmed with enquiries about him so won't be considering any more.  If he hasn't already gone by Thursday morning, I have another standby home waiting.

We occasionally get these "must have" types in, and then we will choose the best possible situation offered,  which usually means larger family homes with gardens if possible.  Some puppies are lucky to be born so desirable that we can be very picky about their new homes, and yes, it is unfair that looks and the right kind of coat are so important.

There were four adults in today's group, some more doglet age, and four puppies.  Normally we would whisk them straight off to AFCD for microchipping and licensing, but there is no such service available this week thanks to the coronavirus situation.  Don't ask me how or why that affects the insertion of microchips or the giving of rabies vaccinations, but this is the HKSAR Government working in their typically mysterious ways.

That means the dogs and puppies will be available to meet at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre all day on Thursday, but please don't just turn up without having completed the adoption questionnaire and received a reply.  You can find the form at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/

We still have small dogs and puppies at our Homing Centre that have been with us for long enough to have been to the vet and had their microchips and licensing taken care of, and one of those left the Homing Centre today after being adopted.  Congratulations Sophie, your breeding days are over for ever!
