Birch is adopted

As always happens, as fast as puppies leave our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre there are others taking their place, and today there were six beautiful new recruits arriving from AFCD Pokfulam.  They are now the Zodiac litter of Aries, Taurus, Leo, Gemini, Libra and Scorpio,  and of course any offers of foster homes would be appreciated.  Please contact Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com for fostering information.

Luckily two of the sharpei-cross babies left today to make some space, Ashley for a trial and Birch adopted, so only Rose and Willow remain from that particular litter.  I'm sure vounteer Harryn will be taking some photos for me to share as the Zodiacs are lovely, with one particularly unusual girl, Gemini, having blue eyes and a coat we decided was the colour 'mouse'.

Pretzel is only 4 years old, active, lively, loving and very smart

Poodle Nando also left for a short trial to see how he and the resident dog get along, so that leaves only Pretzel as our token poodle for the time being.  Pretzel is what I'd call a typical poodle, super-sweet but also determined to do what he wants, so he's an adults-only boy when considering suitable homes.  Training these smart poodles to modify their behaviour isn't impossible and you can even make it fun by treating the training as a game, and remember our very experienced HKDR trainer Cactus is always available to help.

Big puppy boy Roland 

The two arrivals from AFCD Sheung Shui that were sent to Tai Po are settling in, with both puppy boy Roland and adult lady Amora being really lovely and very sweet-natured.  Amora has heartworm which will need treatment of course, and we would love her to go to a foster home for that.  She's no more than medium-sized so perfect for any home.

Our Homing Centres remain open every single day of the year from 10am to 6pm regardless of anything that's happening outside, so please come along to meet the dogs any time.  We always need newspaper too so you can combine dropping off your donations with a cuddle for the dogs and puppies.
