Sat 7th April: Urgent help needed for Molly and Oscar

We weren't surprised that it was a relatively quiet puppy event at Heal today, as Hong Kong empties when the Rugby Sevens are on, at least during the day.  In anticipation of this happening we kept the numbers to just a few, including the two newbies, Pebble and  (the third new puppy having been adopted from Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre in the morning).  Elena Mathew was the volunteer photographer again and you can take a look at the full album here  Puppy Adoption Day 7 April 2018 — at HEAL Animal Wellness and Rehabilitation

Pebble and the grown-up version
We so often asked what a puppy will look like as an adult, so it was very handy having a grown-up version of Pebble at Heal and to be able to say "just like this".   I'm not sure who the lovely little dog is but I think he (she?) needs a Pebbly friend.

The puppies will be back at Whiskers N Paws on Sunday, so you can meet them all there between 2pm and 5pm.

Molly and Oscar urgently need a new home PLEASE!

I've already mentioned the now very urgent need for a new home for two ex-HKDR dogs, Molly and Oscar.  I don't think the family will mind me sharing the reason for the dogs not being able to make the  move to the UK too as it will help to explain the situation and hopefully result in a new home for Molly and Oscar.  Just recently the husband and father of the family was diagnosed with advanced cancer, completely out of the blue, leaving everyone in shock and with very little time to sort out their affairs.   The dogs are very much loved but with the urgent need to get back to the UK while it's still possible, we have been asked to help.  Ideally the dogs can stay together but if not then we hope they can each find a new home where they will be loved and cared for as much as they have been so far.  They are two years old, with Molly being a very laid-back girl and Oscar, the black one, being a ball of energy who loves long walks and splashing in puddles.   They are both perfect family dogs with no behaviour issues, so please help if you can.  Even if you are unable to adopt one or both, by sharing the story we should be able to make this work.   Please email me at sallyandersen@hongkongdogrescue.com or complete the Adoption Questionnaire on our website www.hongkongdogrescue.com, thank you.
