Mon 2nd April: Another good adoption total for March

We only have a short time left before we hand back the Education Centre/office at 22 Main Street, and with all of the extra holidays thrown in it's going to be really tight to get everything packed, moved out and the premises ready to vacate.  If there are any volunteers who are handy with a screwdriver and have time to spare, we need to start dismantling fitted cupboards and so on, and we have less than two weeks before we give back the keys. 

We have loved our small Homing Centre but it's time to move on

Fortunately we have a bit more time at the Homing Centre across the road at 21 Main Street, as we still have to build the new dog accommodation at the new site,  plus all of the extras like a grooming area and food preparation/storage space and we want to make it last.  Having found out the hard way what works and what doesn't, this time we know - for example - that wire fencing between the dogs isn't the best material for a number of reasons, so we will be using something different.  The new space is bigger too, so we will have somewhere for potential adopters to complete paperwork as well as meet the dogs, and we are also much closer to the dog park, so a win all round.

It was quite a busy day at Tai Po today with lots of visitors meeting dogs, although no actual adoptions took place.   However the adoption total for March was another good one, and forty five dogs or puppies were taken home:
