Thurs 9th Nov: T-shirt-tickets selling out

Don't say I didn't warn you about the need to buy your Peak to Fong T-shirts (tickets) early, because we've already sold out of some sizes and the stock numbers are fast running low on others.  We weren't sure when we started planning the event whether it would attract record numbers, or whether people would have forgotten what an amazing day out this is for all dog lovers, and I'm delighted to say the response has been brilliant.

Here's a video from 2017 showing what t expect, including that it can be quite cool on the Peak in the morning! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIdcM-uqr5Y

You don't have to have a dog to accompany you to enjoy the day, and you don't even have to do the walk down from the Peak (although of course this is the part that everyone loves), because the street party in Lan Kwai Fong is a stand-alone event in itself.  There are stalls where you can buy all sorts of dog-related goodies (remember to bring cash), live bands to get everyone in the party mood, and loads of bars and restaurants ready to serve you food and drink.  In other words there's something for everyone, including children who have their own fun planned.  Here's a video to give you an idea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pgi0ufyzT9c

We have finally found foster homes for the puppies at Tai Po, now called the Bucket Babies (by me, after I saw the lovely photos), so that's a temporary relief.  At least they are healthy and playful, and we're all grateful for that, especially having been reminded in a horrible way about the danger of parvovirus in puppies from an unknown source.   The lives of the surviving babies from that group are still very much in the balance, and I have to wait for news each morning to know whether they made it through the night.

Baxter

Poodle boy Baxter's photos and video were shared on Facebook and Instagram, and we have subsequently had a lot of interest in him.  It's frustrating in a way because he's been with us for a while and had always been available for adoption, and we have many other smaller dogs that are also very cute and lovely, like gorgeous Buster.

If you're looking for a certain type of dog just complete the adoption questionnaire and we can recommend those that match your preferences, but maybe your perfect match is someone that you didn't expect.  Keep an open mind and just come to meet the dogs.  You might be surprised and who you fall in love with.
