Sun 14th May: Watching the puppies grow and change

Pretty Ocean

On a grim and miserable day (weather-wise) it was still party time for the puppies at Whiskers N Paws, with thanks once again to Jimmy Tsang for coming at late notice to take the photos  Puppy Adoption Day 14th May 2023.  I'm still true to Ali for being my top puppy of the moment, but there are so many gorgeous characters and faces, it's really hard not to want them all.
Daisy now (was Annie as a baby)

What's really special about the mixed breeds, other than their personalities of course, is seeing how they change as they grow, although I would rather see that change take place in their own homes.  This was particularly noticeable in a puppy called Daisy, who was previously Annie and who was attending the Positive Partners Training Course which takes place at Whiskers N Paws on Sundays too.

Baby Annie

I remember her clearly the day she arrived (as one of nineteen puppies in one go), because she was so small and really just like a ball of fluff.  She was immediately taken home by her foster parents, along with another puppy called Ayla, and both were subsequently adopted by the same family.  Looking at Daisy/Annie now it's hard to believe she's the same puppy, even if she is just as beautiful now as she was as a baby.

The most recent arrivals (other than Dory who has already been adopted) will all be going to Acorn on Monday for their health checks and vaccinations, and then they should be picked up by their adopters-in-waiting, who have all been holding off until after the dogs were seen by a vet.  This video of Dylan and Della shows how lovely they are, and how much they need to be out of the Homing Centre and with their own families.

If you are interested in adopting either a puppy or an adult dog, regardless of size or age, please start by completing the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/
