Thurs 14th July: The week has flown by

I can't believe it's almost the weekend again, but the week has been such a crazy one that the days have flown by. Thankfully all of the new puppies were picked up from ALCVC by their respective fosters, with some being potential adopters, and thanks to the clinic and staff for taking good care of the pups overnight, and getting them ready to head off with their identification collars making sure they went to the right people.  There was one disappointed puppy left behind though, as his adopters weren't able to make it due to having had an accident, so we need a new home for this gorgeous little boy, the cutest of them all. He's now called James (shown left), and if you want to be the lucky adopters please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/

We have had so many new dogs coming to our Tai Po Homing Centre, with others in foster homes but really needing to move into permanent situations.  One of these is two year-old Hera the husky, one of the rooftop dogs (that seems like such a long time ago now), and she's looking for a home where she can be the only dog so she can have all of the attention she loves.

As a reminder for the upcoming weekend, we have had to use our HKDR@Elgin location at 22 Elgin Street, Soho,  to temporarily house the recent intake of small adult dogs, and although we have full time staff there on weekdays, the place is currently closed at weekends.  Obviously we will have to make arrangements for volunteers to be able to get inside to clean up and take care of the dogs, but if you're interested in potentially adopting it's important that you make an appointment in advance.
