Mochi is incredibly sweet and gentle, and just 2 years old |
It's impossible to ignore what's happening in Hong Kong at the moment but as always I try to keep my posts free of anything other than dogs, however sad I feel about the country that has been my home for the past thirty five years. The current weather seems to be reflecting the mood of the people too, with frequent storms and loud thunder that's scaring the dogs. At least on Lamma and at Ap Lei Chau they're inside while too many don't have that luxury, and that includes all of the Tai Po dogs that live in outdoor enclosures. Like Mochi, still waiting for a home of her own when she's so lovely and incredibly sweet. There are so many like her too, so please come and meet them if you're thinking about adding a (or another) dog to your family. Our Homing Centre team would be happy to show you around and to introduce you to the dogs that are hoping to catch your eye.

These black-and-white babies are ready to move on now |
Our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre has smaller dogs of all ages, from puppies to adults, and although the very young ones are still in foster homes at least some of them are just about ready to move on to their forever families. These are the black-and-white babies that came to us with their mother Amber, now adopted and doing brilliantly in her new home. Please complete the Adoption Questionnaire if you are interested in having one (or two) of these little pups joining your family, but only if you are ready to adopt now. We're getting a lot of enquiries from potential adopters who are going away for the summer so can't take a dog until they return, and we really hope by then all of our current four-legged residents will have long since left.
There are always new dogs and puppies arriving, and we're expecting five of them to come this weekend, so there will always be someone just right for you and your family when the time some for you to choose.
