Tues 4th June: Adding the latest intake to Ap Lei Chau

Daniel in his new and forever home
Thanks to the many lovely offers of a home for baby Daniel, we were able to send him off with his forever family in the afternoon.  Without doubt this little boy is going to be very much loved and have a great life so we were all feeling happy saying goodbye.

Feather is a tiny little girl
I had just come back from Acorn with the latest group of recruits to our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, having quickly fallen in love with tiny Feather and puppy Flapper.   Feather is just a year old and has the underbite that's somehow so appealing, while loving to be held and cuddled.   She's very similar in looks to Miss Freckles, and although it turned out that Miss Freckles had already been desexed, I wondered if she could be Feather's mother.
Could Miss Freckles be Feather's mother?

Flapper looks like a cross between a dachshund and a beagle, is five months old and full of life.  She wanted to jump up at everyone in the waiting room at Acorn, so even though she's currently very small she's going to need good exercise as an adult.

The others are definitely mixed breeds although small sized, with Maple looking very much like a shiba inu cross.  Whatever they are, all of the dogs have very easy natures and temperaments, and their size makes them perfect for Hong Kong homes.
Maple is also a very young and sweet girl

We have a large number of young, good-natured and smaller-sized dogs at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, and many more at our Tai Po Homing Centre although larger in size. New puppy Flapper is a perfect example of why small isn't always easier than large, as she will need just as much exercise and socialisation as the bigger puppies like gorgeous Libby and Portman. Please let us help you find the most suitable match for your home and family by completing the adoption questionnaire on our website www.hongkongdogrescue.com (under Adopt).

For a list of all the newer dogs you can see them here, but we still have many others like Frenchie Peppa and little Cat. https://www.facebook.com/hkdogrescue/
