I daren't even think about what weather to expect these days, and was happy and grateful to have warm sun for the Whiskers N Paws puppy afternoon. It makes such a huge difference, especially to the puppies who can run around and play rather than huddle together in a corner to keep warm. Even timid Avery, who in previous months has hidden away from view, not only came out and showed herself but was also taken home for a trial adoption. Watching a puppy change like that is such a joy, and four month-old Tiffin (pictured) has completely overcome her initial shyness. Her four siblings have a way to go yet, but there's a positive difference every week.
I still find it impossible to tell the black puppies apart, so it helps when one by one they are adopted. Last Sunday it was Tickle, now Ellie, and this week it was Chimney who found a lovely home. We have two sweet slightly older black pups remaining, including Fluffy (pictured below). Please take a look Eric Tang's lovely photos of the available puppies on our Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR) Facebook page. Many of them are either in foster homes or staying at our own Homing Centre at 21 Main Street, Ap Lei Chau, so you don't need to wait until next Sunday to meet them. Sophie and Babette are guests at Whiskers N Paws on a full time basis, so they are always there to greet visitors or potential adopters too.
Baby Charity had her adoption paperwork completed today, while sisters Faith and Hope have also found homes. These lucky triplets didn't have to wait long at all.
Over at Ap Lei Chau the chihuahua pair were also short stayers as they left together for their new home (the photo shows them at AFCD).
