Fri 4th March: A new poisoner in Soho - beware

The notorious Bowen Road dog poisoner seems to have spawned a copycat killer, or has moved areas.  Dogs and cats are dying in the Soho area of Central, with the substance used being so toxic that the poor animals and their distraught owners don't even have time to make it to the nearest vet clinic.  Very shortly after the story had been reported in the South China Morning Post yet another little dog, adopted from HKDR many years ago, fell victim to the poisoner, and I can only urge all pet owners to keep well away from the area.

Happier news came from Tai Po as Big, the Chung Hom Kok Collie, was adopted, and this time I know it's for ever. He has settled already right in and is very much loved.

Another equally beautiful returnee was also given her second chance at forever happiness as lovely Anna left Ap Lei Chau for a trial adoption.  Her family have never had a dog before and Anna can be a bit shy to start with, but after settling she happily shows her sweet and loving side.  Anna's a big dog too, so her departure has given the others a bit of elbow room.

The weekend is always a time when we hope that would-be adopters will come to see our dogs and puppies, and that there will be lots of going-home photos to post on Monday.  Thanks to our volunteer "Patrick Bob", I have a new Sunday Whiskers N Paws advertisement, and I hope you like it as much as I do.
