Plum |
Petite Plum has been in a wonderful foster home since our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre closed, but sadly all good things must come to an end and today she came back to us. We had really hoped that Plum could have found a forever home during the months she was in her temporary home, especially as she had made such great progress in every way, but as that didn't happen I made the choice to reunite her with her old friends from upstairs at Ap Lei Chau and she's now one of the Lamma dogs. There was a lot of sniffing and checking out when she arrived, and after that Plum slipped straight back into her place in the group.
Tessa is already at our KTHC |
Thomas and Tanner will also be returning from their foster home on Sunday afternoon, and while we have had a lot of interest in Tanner (he really is a very lovely little dog), nobody yet has considered adopting the two as a pair. Like the other small "T" dog, Tessa, who was part of the same intake, these dogs are shy and had clearly had very little interaction with humans before coming to us. Their experience of growing up had been as part of a large group of dogs, many even related, so that's why we can't even consider letting them be adopted as singletons. It would be really unfair on them and hugely stressful, and as having two small dogs in the same home is perfectly normal we'll wait until that home comes along. Thomas, Tanner and Tessa all settled very well into their foster homes and were very happy (Tessa was with another small dog), but as with all timid dogs we can't consider them suitable to be in homes with young children.
If you're looking for a puppy to adopt then you can meet a selection of hopefuls at our regular Sunday Puppy Parties at Whiskers N Paws, 2pm to 4pm, as well as the many that are in foster care or staying at our Kennedy Town Homing Centre.
Wow! Love the up-dated of Bibby. Can't recognize him! XXX
