I'm happy to be able to write about one adoption to kick off the month, because it was a very quiet Saturday, maybe due to the fact that the Rugby Sevens are on and Easter is coming up. Anyway, one is better than none, and today's lucky dog was Ali (not my current favourite puppy Ali), whose adoption was confirmed by our own staff member Eva Loo after a fairly long foster period.

In fact adoptions for the whole month of March were lower than previous months, again due to the fact that so many potential adopters say they're going to be away over Easter and want to wait until after the holiday before committing. Even when a puppy has been chosen, as is the case for "F" puppy Fitz, his family-to-be can't take him home until they get back from their overseas trip, so if anyone can foster him for the next ten days please let us know. Coincidentally, his brother Frankie also had to wait after being chosen because of the import formalities to get a dog into Singapore, and if my memory is correct both Fitz and Frankie will be moving to their forever homes on or around the same day, 10th April. If you can foster Fitz for this short period please email Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com.
The full list of March adoptions is shown here, and although lower than we'd like it's still a respectable number at twenty eight. In fact if we add Fitz, as well as mini border collie Milo who is also waiting for his parents-to-be to get back from holiday, we at least hit thirty.
