Sun 5th Dec: Please be aware of new poisoning cases

The coming week is going to be a busy one as our driver Ming is back to work after a week's holiday, so there's been a build-up of things to be done such as picking up boxes of wine (a regular donation).  We have to make room for the wine at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre and that means moving out the small crates that are sitting there waiting for buyers.  These are good quality travel crates, perfect for taking small dogs or cats to the vet or anywhere they need to go, and we're only asking $50 each for them.  If you would like to buy a crate (and support HKDR at the same time) please come to the Homing Centre any day between 10am and 6pm to pick one up.   I should also mention that we have great toys and other dog accessories for sale, as well as dog food, T-shirts (for humans) and later this week (we hope) the 2022 Dog-a-Day Cube Calendar will also available.
Smaller-sized Lacey and Tate would make a perfect pair

The dogs crates are handy for carrying newly adopted puppies too, and although there weren't any adoptions on the spot today at Whiskers N Paws, this is what we've come to expect as potential families come to meet the puppies, then have a think before choosing which one(s) they will take home.  Jimmy Tsang was our regular volunteer photographer at the two-hour event today, and he know just how to capture the puppies at their best:  Puppy Adoption Day 5th Dec 2021

Lucky boy Chester

Chester was today's lucky small dog at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, although again we had lots of visitors who want to consider which one of the many lovely choices they will take home.  You can regularly see photos of the available dogs at both Homing Centres here Happy Woof, on Instagram @h_dogsister, as well as on our website www.hongkongdogrescue.com/dogs/

I've been seeing some awful news about dog poisonings again, in Kennedy Town (Instagram@gamma.hkg) and Sai Kung, where tragically a little dog died as a result.  I can't imagine that there will ever be an end to this, as there will always be dog haters who seem to forget (or don't care) that it's not only the dogs that suffer, but their human families too.
