Mon 8th Nov: Family groups

Names to follow

Getting straight down to what many of the readers of my blog come here for, I had mentioned that there would be some poodle/bichon types arriving some time soon, and that time was today.   However, they aren't puppies and may not be particularly young adults, but without microchips the assessment of age is something that Iris and myself will do on Tuesday.  It's certainly not an exact science as there are many factors that affect a dog's teeth and dental hygiene, and even many small-sized one year-olds have tartar build-up, especially if they have under or over-bites or have been fed only soft food.
The Cricket Family

There's also what I call the "Cricket Family", because it's clear that they're related to puppy Cricket (and her siblings), as well as a kind-of-spaniel-type group.  Wherever these dogs came from - and we have no idea - they have obviously been breeding, whether intentionally or accidentally.

A lone terrier, so cute

Spaniel-border collie??

If you're interested in meeting any of these dogs, or the others that we still have available, please start by completing the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/ and wait for a reply before coming to the Homing Centre.

When meeting new dogs it's important that you understand that some, or many, have come from a previously poor environment and they may not look like show dogs.  We have so many wonderful before-and-after examples of dogs that came to us looking like bits of rag and turning into something completely different and beautiful.  Poor skin and bad teeth are easy to put right, and there's something incredibly satisfying about being responsible for such positive change.
