Sun 11th Aug: Small dogs and puppies

Too-cute-for-words Brian
Since my Lamma neighbours are fostering three of our small dogs (plus the runaway terrier Dini loosely), I decided to take them along to Whiskers N Paws, and suggested that Spencer from the Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre also join the afternoon's gathering.

By the end of the day Charlie had been adopted, Spencer had been taken for a trial with the two resident dogs and little Buddy had gone to a new foster home, so only Scamp came back with me and he's needed to act as bait for (Hou)dini the terrier.
Dini's (r) happy to drop by to say hello before leaving again

Many of these small dogs come from the same place, an "accidental breeder", meaning someone who doesn't desex his dogs and allows them to randomly mate and have puppies.  I could see the close resemblance between Spencer and Buddy, and Charlie is definitely father or grandfather to the three incredibly cute puppies, Brian (adopted), Freddie and Deacon.  Here are the lovely photos of the afternoon at Whiskers N Paws Puppy Adoption Day 11 August 2019 , with thanks to Eric Tang who always does such a great job.
I'm sure Charlie is related to Brian's litter
Be a good girl Judy!

It was a lucky afternoon for fluffy girl Judy finally, as she was adopted today.  Also going home with another ex-HKDR dog, Mary, little Spot is the last of his litter to find a forever family.
Spot's hiding his face but he's not really shy

Foster homes make such a difference, and that was quite apparent today when Dorothy came along after having been taken home on a temporary basis.  She used to be quite a troublemaker, in a mischievous puppy kind of way, but today she was as good as gold, sitting calmly and behaving so well.
Dorothy's such a good girl now
