Thurs 12th Jan: A rotten week for puppies

Maltese in-and-out
We had what was possibly one of our fastest adoptions today as a Maltese that was surrendered barely had time to catch his breath before he left the Homing Centre again.  I knew that he was coming, a throwaway as a result of a new human baby in the family, and I had someone wanting a dog like that.  The timing worked out perfectly and I never even got to see the dog or know his name.
Davey and Blotto are coming back

As successful as that particular case was, it's been the opposite as far as puppies are concerned. Both of the pups in this photo I took before they went off to Whiskers N Paws and were taken for trial adoptions are coming back, one because of the landlord refusing to have a dog in the home and the other being a very strange case.  I won't go into details at this point but both Blotto and Davey will be back for this Sunday's puppy afternoon.  What with Chess also having to be returned due to unexpected allergies, it's been a pretty rotten week on the puppy front.

In fact it's going to be another huge party on the terrace at Whiskers N Paws with so many young puppies, and I'm really going to need more foster homes to cope.  If you can foster a young puppy or two for a while please contact Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com.  Take a look at last week's photos and come along on Sunday to meet these beautiful babies, and more.
