The doglet is 7 months old |
We were asked by AFCD, this time the Shatin Centre, if we could take three dogs, one a one year-old poodle boy, the other a young mother dog who lost her pups after giving birth, and the third a very skinny doglet with enormous ears.
The doglet is too big for Kennedy Town and too small for Tai Po, so we would love this girl to go to a home where she can have good food and put on the weight she needs to gain. If you can help, please complete the foster questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/volunteer/fostering/, and for adoption it's www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/
The adult dog is three years (and nine months) old, and is apparently a very gentle girl.
I'm sure the poodle boy will have no problem whatsoever in finding a home, but for the record he's was from a dog smuggling case. I assume he's been at AFCD for many months, and he won't be toilet trained.
On the subject of sharpeis, Sharlene will be having her big surgery on Tuesday after being assessed and prepped today. It's estimated that the operation will last for five hours, which is a long time for a dog to be under general anaesthetic. Please send your positive thoughts and best wishes to this sweet girl, and thank you again for donating towards the cost of this literally life-saving operation.

On Tuesday we'll be getting the other four dogs from Kowloon AFCD, namely the shih tzu and pug (going to Kennedy Town), and the sharpei and mongrel heading for Tai Po.
