Weds 5th Sept: Some heading out, others coming in

It's been a long wait for Dumpy

A long time ago we had three small dogs staying at our Tai Po Homing Centre, in fact they must have moved there not along after we took the site over.  They were very shy, quite untouchable really, but like so many of the other dogs who have been with us for years, the last survivor from that litter had finally accepted that humans could be quite nice after all.  This little boy was called Dumpy, because he had a round body on short legs, but now he has a new name, Charlie, and a real home with our adopter-of-seniors, Terry.  When I saw the photo I didn't recognise Dumpy and had to confirm that it was really him, but it's just the angle of the shot makes him look like a regular size.

Gorgeous terrier-type Jackson moved from his typhoon foster to his forever family today, and I have to thank his foster for finding a new home for him.  We have lots of scruffy terrier-types still waiting for homes, like Julian shown here before and after grooming.

Another dog that we're still getting enquiries for is Morgan, the collie-type dog, but he has already found his home too.

Morgan has been adopted

Pom (shaved)

We have more small dogs coming on Friday, all poodles except for one pom (who has been shaved), so if this is the type of dog you're looking for please check out my blog on Saturday for details.  At this point I have no idea of age or anything else.

In the meantime, a reminder that there are three totally gorgeous and very small doglets staying in foster care, and they're Jax, Jilly and Johnnie. I was discussing with Lyndsay, the foster, what mix they could be because they're really so small, and the best we could come up with was spaniel-chihuahua-papillon-whatever.  Jax is the most confident of the trio, but all are lovely, and you can read all about them on Instagram@why_i_foster.
