Thurs 14th Sept: A day away from the (home) office

I've just realised we're almost halfway through September, and really find it hard to believe how the month has flown by.  Maybe the non-stop rain has made every day seem the same, or maybe it's the constant flow of dogs coming to us so we're forever running to catch up.

Primo

I want to start today with another mention of the two year-old schnauzer boy who's waiting for a new home after his family left Hong Kong.  I'm really hoping that he can go straight to a new home rather than having to come to our Homing Centre, because as he's been a family member it would be so much better for him to jump straight into another similar situation.  If you're interested in Primo please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/.

Melody the day she arrived in August

There was a very happy adoption at Kennedy Town when sweet little Melody left to start her new family life.  Her adopter has been looking for a long time trying to find the right dog for the family, and after so many visits and meetings, Melody was finally declared to be "the One".

Griffin enjoying the sampan ride

As I mentioned yesterday, I was out at Acorn today with my dog Griffin, and thanks to Dr Tony's expertise in handling nervous dogs, taking blood was relatively easy (and everything is fine). We also had a large group of small dogs at Acorn for their first or follow-up visits, so now I think all of the newest dogs have been checked and vaccinated, just in time for the next batch to come in (the three French bulldogs).  I'm really hoping we will have cleared some space for them by then, and once again please complete the questionnaire if you like this particular breed and can offer a suitable home.
Another Frenchie photo was shared yesterday
