Weds 9th June: Two more, and a special foster home needed

Two more puppies arrived at our Tai Po Homing Centre today, very lovely girls who so far don't have names although I'm sure there are ideas floating around.  As always if you're interested in adopting please complete the questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/ before coming to visit.   Assuming both girls are healthy and ready for adoption they'll be at Whiskers N Paws on Sunday, along with some other younger puppies who are old enough now to attend the afternoon event.
Frito when he arrived at our Centre

I forgot to mention one lovely adoption, mainly because Frito has already been very happily living in his now-forever home as a foster dog.  He's a senior  Sheltie, and despite his age and the common health problems many old dogs encounter, he's now adopted.  Thank you Gary and Cordelia, whom many of you might know as the previous parents of Jasper the Old English sheepdog.

I had previously mentioned that a puppy was surrendered to us after having been tested for distemper and found to be positive.  I didn't realise at the time that he was a (gold) border collie puppy, very young, and he was sent directly to ALCVC for treatment and isolation.   Now although not fully recovered (and with distemper it's hard to even know what the outcome will be), the puppy is well enough to be moved into a foster home.

He needs the attention and companionship that is so important to the mental development of any puppy, so it's time for him to start living that kind of life.  If you can foster this lovely boy and are at home pretty much full time, please email Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com.  There will need to be regular health checks so the foster parent will need to be able to take him back to Ap Lei Chau as and when necessary.
