The pups are now Speedy, Sophie and Susie |
I was expecting the three "Tiny Tot" puppies on Thursday, but perhaps shouldn't have been surprised when they turned up today, along with a gorgeous scruffy boy, who is now officially called Scruffy.
Scruffy is 3 years old, and very sweet |
Again as expected, the puppies are somewhat older than they were in the photo I was sent, but two of them are still definitely very small, with one of the girls just a bit bigger. I'll be checking them out myself on Thursday before they go for a vet check.
Lucky Dilly, lucky adopter |
There were two very lucky adopters today, and yes, not a mistake, as I think both Dilly and April are exceptional personalities. Dilly is a clown, always making the volunteers laugh with her antics, and with her sweet nature included she's the all-round perfect little dog.
Lucky April, Lucky adopter |
April is also as beautiful in nature as she is in looks, and she was always my top puppy pick, so both adopters are very lucky to have found such gems.
There are many other hidden gems at Elgin Street, as well as Kennedy Town, Tai Po and in foster homes. Puppy Archer is another one, and he's now in a foster home in Happy Valley, while little Amos and super-loving Ali are currently still at Elgin Street.
Nettie |
I should also mention poodle Nettie again, because she is such an easy dog, very gentle, and perfect for a home with children. She's undemanding, and more of a home lovebug than an active sort, in fact she needs very little exercise, just short outings for her toilet needs.
New boy Kai |
Still at Elgin Street, the other recent arrival, Kai, is a small one year-old boy with three legs. I had been warned he was very scared, but he seems to be quite calm.
Max, Melody and Mason |
My other top recommendations for smaller dogs are the "M" puppies, clearly dachshund crosses and all such sweet and happy pups. They're in foster care now, so meet them at Whiskers N Paws on Sundays, or Cindy can arrange for a meeting in their respective temporary homes.
