Big "puppy" Klondike joined the party at WNP today

 Today's photographer at the Whiskers N Paws Puppy Party was Benjamin Po, and you can see how lovely all of the hopefuls are  Puppy Adoption Day 30th Oct 2022.  

There was an additional "puppy" joining the Halloween celebration today, as Klondike had been sent from our Tai Po Homing Centre for a much-needed grooming session and he looked very handsome once it was done.  Sadly Klondike had been badly abused as a puppy and young adult so he has some trust issues, and although he loves our driver Ming and is like a teddy bear with him, we know that we would have to be careful about finding Klondike a suitable forever home.   Nevertheless, knowing that he is so gentle with Ming shows us that anything is possible, and in the meantime Klondike enjoys sharing his enclosure with his girlfriend, German shepherd Sadie.  As I'm sure you know, a home with HKDR means a home for life if needed.

Pom Iona was adopted today

Iona was the lucky Kennedy Town dog today, and I'm sure she's going to have a lovely life to look forward to after the awful years as a breeder dog.

These two are not remotely scary!

The Halloween events at Soho East was a big success, with our Ambassador Dogs Larissa and Jared behaving like the superstars they are every day.  These two dogs are the easiest and friendliest, and would suit any home looking for a sweet family member.   Big thanks to our volunteers Samson, Jaqueline and Phoebe for manning our HKDR booth and taking care of the dogs, as well as the many enquiries.
