Sat 8th Oct: Flag Day 2022

Yes, it was our Flag Day today, meaning volunteers of all ages were out and about on the streets of Hong Kong Island, many with their own dogs and children, supporting HKDR and our work.  Please take a look at the photos on our Facebook page Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR).

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers at Flag Day 2022, and everyone who supported by buying a flag!
If you have missed the Flag Day, you can still support by making a donation online: https://hongkongdogrescue.com/賣旗日捐

Meanwhile we were busy at our Homing Centres in Kennedy Town and Tai Po, although for almost every potential adopter there was too much choice, so family discussions will take place before a final decision is made.  There are also resident dogs that need to be brought to make sure they also approve, because they might have different ideas about who they want their friend to be.

Sunday is going to be busy I'm sure, and of course we have our puppies going to Whiskers N Paws for their two hours of playtime on the terrace.  I know they love this opportunity to run around like crazy, and here's a reminder of last week's party
Puppy Adoption Day 2nd Oct 2022.

We're also getting serious about the 20th Anniversary Book for next year, and planning is moving ahead quite quickly.  We already have quite a few sign-ups for inclusion in the adopted dogs section, so if you're interested in your HKDR dog or dogs being featured, please make sure you contact Cam at elgin@hongkongdogrescue.com soon.  We'll be arranging photo sessions at our HKDR@Elgin location, with photographers already standing by so we can be sure to have studio-quality shots, and enough time to get everyone who wants to be part of this memorable production included.
