I'm not going to talk about the poodles today as they've had their share of publicity and two have already been chosen. Now it's just a case of going through all of the enquiries still coming in, and anticipating the potential adopters that have already made arrangements to visit.
Skittle left Elgin Street today |
I met up with someone from RTHK at Elgin Street today to record a short segment for an upcoming programme, and at the same time was able to spend some time with Sparky and Smithy, the only two remaining dogs after Skittle's adoption. They're both lovely, very friendly and happy boys, even if they're quite different in looks and body shape. Sparky is young, fit and lean, while Smithy is rather round and a lot smaller. After the RTHK recording had finished, the two dogs were driven over to the Kennedy Town Homing Centre where they'll be staying now until they're adopted.
Smithy would be great with children |
We have so many puppies also staying at Kennedy Town so there's plenty of potential friends for Sparky to play with, and he'll also be able to enjoy the walks along the waterfront. That's one of the downsides of the HKDR@Elgin space, as Soho and the narrow streets aren't great for dog walking.
Roland should be called Ginger |
I also want to give a mention to Roland, a doglet who's been in an amazing foster home for a long time while waiting for his forever family. His foster parents have been busy training Roland to do far more than just the basic "sit" and "stay" and you can see how brilliant he is in this video: https://www.facebook.com/hkdogrescue/videos/1506188949847790. How could you not want such a clever dog? Roland is a regular at the Sunday Puppy Parties at Whiskers N Paws, even if he's not able to make it every weekend, so if you'd like to meet him in person please contact Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com.
Roland looks wonderful!
