Although I have taken a week off from my AFCD visits, as well as Acorn as thankfully I have no sick dogs needing to see a vet, we do have a new intake from Sheung Shui AFCD coming on Thursday including some baby pups who we really need foster homes for. Now that I have no shelter at all on Lamma that means all puppies have to go to the Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, and really we don't have any space there either. Please ask Cindy for details about fostering at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com, but in short we cover all food costs and provide everything you need for the foster period. All we ask is that you bring the puppy (puppies) to Whiskers N Paws on Sunday afternoons so they can meet potential adopters.

Our long-term Life Saver Club volunteer, Shaline, has handed over to her successor Ellen, and of course the email address remains the same at lifesaver@hongkongdogrescue.com. If you would like details of the dog sponsorship opportunities available, or an update on your sponsored dog, you can ask Ellen, but please be patient as she's just getting used to her new role. I would like to thank Shaline for her many years of support, which includes adopting two HKDR dogs, and to Ellen for offering to take over such an important job. Ellen also has three ex-HKDR dogs so is familiar with our charity and how things work.
