Zara takes on Tracker, Nibs and Jewel at the same time |
It was like the Pedigree Parade at Whiskers N Paws this week as several of our ex-breeder dogs came along to the puppy afternoon, and as expected the fun never stopped. Malamute Zara, beagle Tracker and chow chow Jewel played for three hours solid, and Tracker was just as fresh when we left. You can't exaggerate the energy level of a young beagle and Tracker was relentless in his quest for action. This is why we want to be very sure that his adopters understand that, and can provide the space, exercise and have the patience to deal with a very sweet but really non-stop boy.

Nibs is just 1 year old and a very sweet boy |
French bulldog Nibs also joined the fun and had a good time too, although there were moments when Tracker's attention got a bit too much and Nibs needed a short Time Out. He's another very sweet dog but again we are looking for the right home for him, one that understands the breed and has no other dog in the home.
Continuing on the theme, it was finally pointer Teddy's big day as his adoption was confirmed after a trial period. He's another lovely dog but quite mad, in the funny kind of way, and with three other large dogs (ex-HKDR) already in the home it's been quite a challenge. Still, Teddy has such an endearing character despite his love of chewing furniture and being total goofball, so he is now officially one of the family.

Teddy is totally daft but also very loveable |

Magic's adopters are very happy with their sweet and easy puppy |
I tried my best to show how lovely and perfect our mixed breeds are, like Nattie and Santa, both quite small sized, but only the new baby was adopted in the end. Sweet girl Magic also had her adoption confirmed after a week of fostering, and her family commented on how quickly she had learned to be clean (it took just two days) and how lovely she was. Her sister Raven is available if anyone would like the same.
Jimmy Tsang was our volunteer photographer at Whiskers N Paws, and as always there are many great shots to enjoy
Puppy Adoption Day 7 October 2018 . We also had the pleasure of a TwoPresents donation from young Emma Ng, helped by Santa (you can see Santa's small size in the photo too). Thank you Emma for your kindness in sharing your birthday.
Poodle Grape has been waiting for a while to be chosen, but today the waiting was over as he was chosen for adoption from our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre. Dachshund Heidi was also taken for a trial, but we will have to wait for confirmation of her permanent residency.

Grape's wait is over |

I had sent Puddle over from Lamma to meet a potential adopter, who in the end wasn't able to make it to Ap Lei Chau, but Puddle enjoyed her day out and came home with me at the end of the day. If anyone is interested in this small, independent and active dog she's in need of a home, but she's not suitable to be with children.

Puddle enjoyed the boat ride back to Lamma with me |
