Sat 17th April: Please help to find the two lost dogs

I was going to start by sharing today's adoptions but instead I want to remind everyone about two ex-HKDR dogs that have been missing for too long now.  Checker was adopted as a puppy and I remember him and his siblings well from those baby days. His family are extremely worried, understandably of course.

The other dog came to us as a young adult and she's more skittish, and although Kira's been spotted in the area of her home her nervousness with strangers will make her more likely to hide.

Please share this information if you can, as both dogs need to be found and reunited with their families.   As a reminder and a warning to everyone, please make sure your dog is microchipped and licensed (both of the above are of course) as well as having a contact tag on their collars.  It would save a lot of time and heartache if dogs that were found stray had a telephone number the finder could call.

Syrup (l) has a ready-made friend

Syrup's adopters didn't actually come to meet her, but as the two newly-surrendered corgis were out at the time having their licenses updated at AFCD, it was a chance meeting that ended in adoption for the little Sugarbabe.

Tommy 6 years old

Jimmy 5 years old

Macaroon was the lucky older puppy at Tai Po, another very sweet girl both in name and personality.

Lovely Macaroon was adopted today

The just-rescued Beach Babies went off to their respective foster homes today, boxed and neatly packaged in two pairs and a threesome.  They don't have names yet so that's another task for Sunday.

Sunday also means Whiskers N Paws afternoon, so you can drop by to meet the puppies on the terrace from 2pm to 4pm, and if earlier or later please visit our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre at 5 Wai Fung Street.  Remember to complete the adoption questionnaire in advance: www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/
