Waiting for their dinner |
Yes we have puppies, lots of them, and their playground is our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, open every single day of the year in case you're looking for one to take home with you. Please check out Eagle's Facebook page for photos and videos like these https://www.facebook.com/HKDR.DOGGIES/videos/282124816830748
I named the new puppies that arrived on Friday as the "P" litter, and as mentioned they all went off to their respective foster homes until they're ready for adoption. As always we do ask that you complete the adoption questionnaire in advance of any visit to meet any of the dogs and puppies, whether at the Homing Centres or in foster care: www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/
I really want to share some news about "Red" poodle Bell who was adopted recently after spending many years with us. He and the other small "Red" dogs stay at their own place round the corner from our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, in what used to be the original Homing Centre. As I have written many times, although these little dogs are wary of strangers and can be naughty (bite) if mishandled, with people they trust they're totally fine and happy. We all know that most potential adopters are looking for an instant connection and not a dog that may take some time to warm up to them, but from time to time we get someone who understands that there's nothing more satisfying and rewarding than giving one of these challenging characters a chance.
Our little "Red" dogs love the volunteers |
Bell had already had one failed adoption and ended up being returned, but look at him now! I've watched this video several times because it makes me so happy, and perhaps when others see it they will consider giving another "Red" dog the same chance. https://www.instagram.com/p/CNZ3Vd3BIOP/?igshid=q5glcp728l69
