Mon 18th May: Many new arrivals

Buffy
It occurred to me that the "Wonderland" dogs that are still young now, some as little as a year old, must have been puppies when they were rescued, and I assume they had only just been taken into the shelter when the doors closed and the feeding stopped.  I can't imagine how they survived but somehow they obviously did, and three more of those who made it out alive came to us today.  Samuel and Buffy are two years old so would have been doglets at the time, while poor Emma looks as though she had to fight for survival.

Tiny girl Fidget

Also coming from AFCD today were the brother and sister pair of chihuahua-terriers, with Fidget the girl being a tiny 2.2kg and Ticket the boy being quite a big bigger at 3.8kg, although that's still very small. Scribble the poodle is ten years old and a sweet boy too.

Just as the new arrivals were heading off to Concordia, a litter of six puppies turned up and were able to join, so all have now been checked by the vet and vaccinated.
There are 3 girls and 3 boys

New girl Ginny also went for her check-up, and there's nothing seriously wrong, just a skin and unrinary infection.  Ginny's a lovely and very sweet dog, and only knee high so a perfect size.
