Puppy girl Hattie |
Although there was good news about many of the coronavirus restrictions being lifted, and open spaces including the Ap Lei Chau dog park being re-opened, we won't be holding the Sunday Whiskers N Paws puppy afternoons just yet. However potential adopters are welcome to come to our Homing Centres any day of the week to meet the available dogs and puppies, including new "kids" Harley and Hattie at Ap Lei Chau, plus Cherry who is also still waiting for her family.

6 year-old Macy is so lovely |
The other new dogs who came from AFCD with the two puppies are Macy and Max, and I have a feeling Macy might not be staying with us for very long as she's such a beautiful girl. You can meet both at our Tai Po Homing Center, but for all adoptions please do complete the questionnaire ahead of your visit if at all possible. It's really helpful to us to be able to pre-select the dogs that we feel would be a good match and have them ready.

The fifth dog that came with the puppies, Max and Macy, was Curly the poodle and he was adopted today.
A subject that comes up time and again and which affects all dog families at some point is end-of-life question and how best to deal with it. I've been through this scenario so many times but it's different with each dog and it's not something you really ever get used to. Everyone hopes their dog will fall asleep one night and just not wake up, and I have wished for exactly that more times than I can remember but it rarely happens that way. I found this in a search and thought it would be useful for those currently facing such a situation:
