Sat 7th March: Hooray for Oscar and Amora

Sweet Amora going home
It often takes a few visits to our Tai Po Homing Centre before a dog is chosen and adopted, especially if there is another dog in the home who has to meet and like the potential brother or sister. Today was finally going home day for our sweet Amora, who like so many adult dogs came to us from AFCD along with her heartworm passengers.  In fact if we get a dog from either Shatin or Sheung Shui AFCD that doesn't have heartworm it's a very unusual situation.
Oscar heading off to his new life

Oscar also left Tai Po, for the second time as it happens, the first adoption having been one of those "dud" homes that lasts a very short time.  As usual it was nothing to do with Oscar who's a lovely boy and very easygoing, but we know it's for good now.

At our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre it was puppy Tiller who was the lucky one, so now we only have Sloop left from the "Boat Litter" and she'll be at Whiskers N Paws on Sunday.  Sloop is a girl puppy, smaller than her siblings, and she's been in foster care for some time now so is fully ready to go and join a new family in a forever home.
Tiller is also a fantastic puppy
Sloop is the odd one out in her litter

I'm all set for another Whiskers N Paws afternoon and looking forward to meeting all of the puppies again, as well as hopefully saying a happy goodbye as they leave to start their new lives.
