Ivo went home today! |
There's going to be quite a few puppies not turning up for Sunday's Whiskers N Paws afternoon after a busy time at Corncordia Pet Care today, as well as Ivo's adoption in the morning. He left the Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre in time to miss both events after having been chosen during the week.

Look at Daffy's happy face. |
Tai Po puppy Daffy will also stay with her sister Trudy after ther foster family confirmed her adoption, while another very short-stay Tai Po dog was picked up following a successful earlier meeting with one of the resident dogs. Sharpei girl Shirley, who is now called Lexie, was found wandering the streets of Kowloon and with no microchip to indentify any owner. It was her amazing good fortune to be noticed by an avid sharpei fan who has previously adopted from HKDR, and she's now part of a wonderful family for the rest of her life. It's quite incredible how easily she fitted in given that sharpeis often aren't the easiest of breeds, but so far it's been working out fine.

Lexie is now part of a sharpei family |
The Happy Valley afternoon must have been very busy judging from the number of puppies that didn't return to Ap Lei Chau afterwards. In total five youngsters were taken home, many as second dogs so for a trial. In fact of the four new puppies I took from AFCD on Friday only Chipper came back, and I don't think he'll have to wait too long either. His siblings Jet, Woody and Dotty were the lucky ones, as well as older pup Asha and "Kitten" Tiddler.

Only Chipper came back from the Concordia Pet Care afternoon |
In total that's seven puppies who won't be attending the Whiskers N Paws afternoon, plus Pollen of course, who's now living the high life with her own family. We still have plenty to choose from, and here once again is a reminder of the candidates (minus a few that have since been adopted)
