Weds 14th March: Foster dogs still waiting

Yesterday I promised an event that would include everyone, not only pugs and dachshunds, and I can now confirm the date will be Saturday 12th May, as well as saying that this will be something completely new and different to celebrate HKDR's 15th Anniversary. We checked the long-range weather forecast and it says warm, dry and sunny, but regardless of that we can guarantee a fantastic day out for everyone and their dogs.

Another upcoming event, though probably more for Park Islanders than the general public, will take place the Sunday after next, so you can head over to Ma Wan to take a look at the HKDR stall and say hello to our volunteers there.

It was a quiet Wednesday, perhaps thanks to the miserable weather, but I'm hoping to be able to report some adoptions in the coming few days leading up to, and including, the weekend.

We do still have quite a few small dogs in foster homes that are available, including Betty mentioned yesterday, but also a very sweet ex-breeder poodle Toby, who also needed treatment for heartworm. Now fully recovered he's ready for love and cuddles from his forever family, especially as his fosters are packing up and leaving Hong Kong for good next month.
Toby is a very sweet boy, good with children

Another ex-breeder poodle, Treacle, is also available for adoption, and she's a very sweet dog but prefers not to be around young children.  For both of these poodles-in-foster, please email Cindy if you are interested.
Treacle needs a home without young children

Puddle is also still waiting, staying on Lamma for the time being, and of course how can I forget Olive, who has had some potential interest but hasn't yet got past the initial interview due to her playing shy with strangers.  She would really love to have a dog friend in the home too, as she is a young a playful dog who needs that.
I know one day the right home will come for Olive
Puddle is 5 years old and loves her walks
