There were two double adoptions at Kennedy Town today, with assumed brothers George and Gregory going home together, and best friends Claire and Celeste also being reunited after Claire was chosen first, then Celeste being picked up to join her. There are exceptions as always, but almost all dogs love to have another dog in the home to share their lives and secrets with.

I also want to share another photo of schnauzer Ginny in her foster home with her turtle friend, just to show that it's not only dogs who like company. I think this budding relationship is so sweet, and the fact that the turtle gets to go out for car rides too.

I'm also doubly happy to be able to write about a Tai Po dog going home, this time Charlotte, and she will join ex-HKDR Angus as a friend and companion.

I mentioned that the pug puppies Snoopy and Snuffle were returned from their new home because they annoyed the resident dog too much. These boys were part of one smuggling case and some of the first to be released for re-homing after having spent their early puppy months in quarantine. Now eight months old, they're still very much puppies, but without any training during their formative period, and this will apply to all of the smuggling case puppies yet to come (and there are a lot of them). Fortunately the pug boys are a very happy pair, affectionate and playful, and very bonded so we want to stay as a pair. I decided to give them the space to run around while they were waiting for their new home, so they came over to Lamma today to join the other small dogs living together. They were immediately invited to play by the other dogs, so I think they'll enjoy their holiday until the right adopter comes along.

Snoopy and Snuffle need a home as a pair |
Sunday is here again and the sun is out for the regular Whiskers N Paws Puppy party, 2pm to 4pm. We also have so many puppies staying at both of our Kennedy Town Homing Centres, as well as in foster homes. For all dogs and puppies, please start by completing the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/
