It's a short post today as I have to be out very early for a meeting at AFCD Headquarters, along with other Animals NGOs, and the photos from yesterday's Whiskers N Paws puppy afternoon aren't available yet. I can say that there were three lucky pups, Hector (brother of Boris who was adopted last Sunday), Joshua and Hazel.

I don't know if this video will work |
Older puppy Carla, who is already lucky in that she has a great foster home, made friends with new Whiskers N Paws resident Misty, who also happens to be smaller-sized, just like Carla although being very young she is really tiny at the moment. What Misty lacks in size she makes up for in courage, and she and Carla spens most of the afternoon wrestling on the trampoline dog bed. It was so funny that I took a few videos of it which I'll try to share, although videos don't seem to work on this site.
Border collie Smartie was taken home for a trial with the resident dog, who happens to be our ex-long termer Burma. So far everything is working out fine so we think and hope that's a done deal.

Smartie and Burma seen to be fine together |
There has been a lot of interest in the labrador Buster, but as I think I've already mentioned he's big and strong and very boisterous, too much for an aparament unless very large, and he really needs a garden too. He's a happy and friendly boy, a typical labrador in the toys and tennis balls way, but he'd knock a small child over and clear a low table of everything on it with a swish if his rudder-like tail.

I was happy to hear that Airport was adopted |
I was very happy to hear that little poodle Airport was finally adopted, as she has waited too long for the sweet character that she is, especially after she spent a long time at AFCD kennels before finally being approved for re-homing.
