Sat 17th Sept: A quiet holiday weekend

Dobby safely back with us after having been found wandering
Despite the wonderful weather only Dobby left Tai Po today, although we are hoping that Marsha will be following shortly.  Both are very sweet dogs who will settle very quickly into their respective homes, I'm sure.  Dobby hasn't been back with us for long following his last "home" (I don't really know what to call it)  which ended up with him being found wandering in Tai Tam.  I have no idea what happened or why, because the man who was supposed to be taking care of Dobby has still refused to respond to any attempts to contact him.
Marsha is the sweetest girl

It's ironic that we have more than our usual number of easy dogs at Ap Lei Chau, but fewer than normal potential adopters asking about them, a result perhaps of the long weekend.  It's a great time to be looking for the perfect smaller-sized family dog with so many little ones available.  Let's see what happens on Sunday and who we will be waving goodbye to.

There was a misunderstanding about a potential foster home for the rooftop "golden oldie" Momo which resulted in him having to stay another night at Acorn, when they had been expecting him to be picked up.  Following a panic plea on Facebook in the evening and a very nice offer, I hope Sunday will be the day Momo can head off to his comfortable retirement, even if it's just a foster.

Funny little Puma
I'll be at Whiskers N Paws on Sunday with my young Lamma puppies, and happily all of the tick fever cases have been successfully treated and are ready to go.  We'll be joined by some older hopefuls who are staying at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre or in foster homes, so there's something for everyone.

Both Gretel and Sophie are still waiting
