Sun 8th May: Desperation setting in

Marina will stay in her foster home as Maple
I think it's fair to say that we are officially in a crisis situation due to the lack of a website for so long, and still being without a "dogs available" section for would-be adopters to browse though.  Rather than seeing older puppies going out at Whiskers N Paws today we had four foster returns with no space for any of them, and it's really hard to turn up week after week and not feel totally despondent. Two of the young puppies found homes, which is great news of course, but once again it's the older ones who are being ignored, and there are so many of them. (You can see photos of the new baby pups on our Hong Kong Dog Rescue Facebook page).
First-timer Pumpkin will be on her way to Canada soon

So for the benefit of everyone looking for a lovely family member, these are just some of our regular Sunday hopefuls, most of whom are also available to meet any day of the week at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre:

You can meet the older puppies any day of the week at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre

Banjo, big, soft and beautiful
Banjo, Athena and Sophie, eight month-old siblings who are as handsome/beautiful as they are good-natured and easygoing.

Jill, our smallest doglet, who is also a very sweet girl.
Sweet Jill, only medium sized

Trixie and Fanta, returned after three weeks because of an unexpected illness in the home.  They are still quite young and both very sweet, fully toilet trained and used to being in a home environment.
Chance is halfway through his post-heartworm treatment month now
We thought Trixie (shown) and Fanta were safely in a home together

Chance the three-legged boy, not a puppy at a year old but a very lovely young adult.

New boy Dexter who wanted to be everyone's friend
New doglet boy Dexter who wanted to be everybody's friend at Whiskers N Paws today.

Sammy and Beefy, almost identical brothers who are the only two who come over from Lamma every Sunday.  They are very sweet boys who started off as being quite shy but have turned into adventurers who enjoy exploring the plant boxes and the "other side" of the terrace.
Sammy or Beefy?  It's hard to tell
