Fri 8th April: Slowly coming back to life

Not only will the Sunday Puppy Parties at Whiskers N Paws be starting up again this weekend, but we'll also be able to resume the Positive Partners Training Courses that had to be put on hold over the past months.  Obviously there will still need to be certain restrictions on numbers unfortunately, but it's a start.

The puppies due to be joining the event this Sunday are Reece, Ronald, Rula, Rafferty, Wanda, Willa, Woody and Betty, and you can take a look at their details on the links I keep sharing.  The Puppy Party starts at 2pm and finishes at 4pm, so if you want to meet the puppies please make sure you come early, and also complete the adoption questionnaire in advance: www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/.  (The video shows Willa and Woody at Whiskers N Paws).

Hong Kong Island:

We'll be getting the mother of these 4 pups

Dido was the lucky puppy today, and she'll be staying in her foster home rather than moving to a new family.  Congratulations to our newest Failed Foster Club Members!  Now only Derek is left from this litter of four, although I think he has a potential home too, and as it happens I received an email from AFCD today saying they had the mother of these pups available for re-homing.  Since she's a medium size and still quite young, Cindy contacted a potential adopter who's interested in meeting the mother dog when she arrives, which will be Monday if we can't take her out on Sunday.

I know in advance that there'll be an adoption at our Tai Po Homing Centre on Saturday because it's already been confirmed.  I hope I'm not jumping the gun by giving the name away, but it's Rocket.

You're going home soon Rocket!

As a positive update on the Big-Little dog we called Billy, the owner has agreed to letting us arrange desexing for him, as well as covering the costs of the licensing and vaccination.  As this is a farmer in Yuen Long, used to letting his dogs roam freely, I find his agreement very encouraging and a sign that the message about responsible dog ownership is slowly filtering through.
