November was a strange month for adoptions, with lots of interest and potential homes but fewer than expected actually leaving.  To make up for it, I suspect (and hope) that December will boost our annual adoption figures, and we can start the month with rottweiler Jerome, whose trial home has been confirmed as permanent.  Often there are other dogs in the home that need to approve of any newcomer and that's the reason we allow trial periods rather than insisting on immediate adoption and then having the dog returned later.

Saturday Puppy Adoption Day. Come meet our puppies!

Date: Every 1st & 3rd Saturday
Time: 2 pm to 5 pm
Venue: 5-7 Blue Pool Road, Happy Valley

We held our first Puppy Adoption afternoon at a new vet clinic in Happy Valley, Corcordia Pet Care, and we will be there every other Saturday afternoon with puppies waiting for homes.  Little Ruth was the first to be chosen, and I hope being in a dog-friendly area will attract lot of other adopters in the future.  Our two litters of very young babies are now approaching the age when they're ready to leave to go to new homes, and while adults tend to come to us individually of course with puppies they arrive in groups of six or eight.
