Thurs 8th Dec: In-and-straight-out

Hooray for Larissa!

Before writing about the dogs that came in and went straight out again, I want to mention the best adoption of all.  Finally the big day had arrived for Larissa, the sweetest girl who has waited far too long to be chosen, as so many of our other Tai Po dogs have.  There's nothing I can say about her other than she's a fantastic dog who has attended event after event as our HKDR Ambassador, and never put a paw wrong.  Now she has the perfect family who can give her all the love and attention she deserves.
These two are going to have so much fun

Two of the in-and-out dogs were labrador puppies, now called Cleo and Duke, and they're so lucky to be adopted as a pair.  As soon as they arrived at Tai Po they went straight into full play mode, and seconds after the photo was taken they were at it again.  We already knew that they had a home to go to, so their stay with us was really very short.

Willow the whippet

The other ex-smuggling case puppies were small-sized, so they were driven to Kennedy Town after the labradors had been dropped off.  Again we had homes waiting, because I'd already mentioned a couple of times that they would be arriving today.  The first to leave was whippet puppy Willow, and she will have others of her kind in her lovely new home.
Wizard and Willi going home together

The other adopters had originally asked about Willi the Maltese puppy, but since the other dogs in the home are already seniors we suggested also adopting Wizard, a Japanese spitz puppy, as a playmate.  The home has plenty of space for multiple dogs, and there's nothing better than two puppies having each other to wrestle and play chase with.

Brothers Diesel and Dodi

I should also mention that we took in three more puppies from AFCD along with the smuggled puppies, but somehow I expect that they will have to wait a lot longer for their forever homes. The pups are all boys, and are now called Dandy, Diesel and Dodi.
