Weds 13th May: A great way to meet the Tai Po dogs

Meet Mandy, our new puppy girl
The new puppy was picked up from AFCD in the morning and was given the name of Mandy.  She's a very cute young pup and I suspect her stay with us will be a short one.

The requests for smaller-sized puppies and young adults continue to come in, and I wish we were able to satisfy the demand but over the past couple of months they just haven't been coming in. I suspect this is because schools have been closed and parents are also staying at home meaning there's someone to take care of the dogs,  so everyone is waiting to see what will happen once offices re-open, if ever.

Ivory at a school visit
At least we've also seen a big increase in the number of larger adults leaving the Tai Po Homing Centre and there are currently a few in trial homes which I won't name yet.  I made the mistake of mentioning Ivory's name when she went home with Tusk on a foster basis thinking that she'd be staying, but now she's coming back and I'm upset about it of course.  I hope she will find her new and forever home very quickly after her return.

One great way to meet the Tai Po dogs is to sign up to help with some cleaning work.  We're currently short of our regular cleaners and this is something that is essential to the health and welfare of the dogs.

📣We are once again in need of manpower to help with kennel cleaning and dish washing at Tai Po Homing Centre. Can you help?
